Upcoming Exhibitions

The International Exhibitions Bureau (BIE) distinguishes between universal world exhibitions that are held every five years, and the smaller, more specialized international exhibitions held in the period inbetween.

At a general meeting on 31 March 2008, BIE decided that the next universal world exhibition in 2015 will be held in Milan, Italy. 

In the five-year interval between the universal world exhibitions in Shanghai and Milan, Yeosu in South Korea will host a smaller-scale world exhibition in 2012.
