Second meeting in the National Committee

On May 5, the National Committee behind Denmark’s participation in EXPO 2010 Shanghai convened for the second time. As chairman of the committee, HRH The Crown Prince headed the table.

The domicile of the Danish Enterprise and Construction Authority at the Copenhagen harbour hosted the second meeting of the National Committee. The Committee was briefed on the progress of the construction of the Danish pavilion, and it approved the appointment of Chinese artist Ai Weiwei to create an exchange artwork in place of the Little Mermaid when she visits Shanghai during EXPO 2010.

Other members of the National Committee are Lene Espersen, Minister for Economic and Business Affairs, and representatives of the national partners in the Danish EXPO 2010 project, including Realdania, A.P. Moller - Maersk, Grundfos, Vestas, the Danish Agricultural Council, and the New Carlsberg Foundation.
