Official emblem

The official emblem of EXPO 2010 Shanghai depicts the image of three people – you, me, him/her – holding hands. This symbolizes the universal family of mankind. The emblem is inspired by the shape of the Chinese character  (meaning the world).

The design conveys the organisers' wish to host an EXPO of global scale, showcasing the diversity of urban cultures around the world.
