New Carlsberg Foundation
The New Carlsberg Foundation was established by a Charter dated 20 January 1902 enacted by the brewer Carl Jacobsen and his wife Ottilia Jacobsen with the object of working to promote art in the founders' native land of Denmark.
Board of Management
The Foundation is administered by a Board of Management of three members:
- Hans Edvard Nørregård-Nielsen, Chairman.
- Morten Kyndrup, Professor, Dr. Phil.
- Maria Fabricius Hansen, Associate Professor, Dr. Phil.
Aims of The Foundation
The aim of the New Carlsberg Foundation is to support the New Carlsberg Glyptotek and other Danish art museums, to promote the study of art and art history and in general to develop and fulfill the appreciation of and need for art in Denmark.
Participation in EXPO 2010
The New Carlsberg Foundation considers the contribution to EXPO 2010 a great opportunity of artistic and cultural exchange.
