Full-scale pavilion mock-up under construction

A section of the Danish EXPO pavilion is under construction in a warehouse in Næstved in South Zealand. The full-scale mock-up is made of plywood in order to test sound and light conditions inside.

In a warehouse in an industrial suburb of the town of Næstved, a huge section of the Danish EXPO Shanghai pavilion is being constructed right now as a full-scale mock-up. The mock-up is 80 square metres and made of plywood and includes roof, front, floor and railings.

The overall purpose is to test the complicated sound and light conditions in the pavilion. As the exhibition inside the pavilion will be mainly audio-visually based, it is crucial to test the performance of the AV equipment in a tube-shaped building like the Danish EXPO Shanghai pavilion.

The mock-up is to be finished within the next month.
