EXPO design competition to be announced

Young Danish fashion designers will be invited to participate in a design competition to create a unique collection for the entire staff at the Danish pavilion in Shanghai. The designs should be sustainable and functional.

Danish design enjoys an excellent reputation all over the world and, naturally, the assignment of creating a collection for the pavilion staff in Shanghai will be given to a Danish designer. The Danish Enterprise and Construction Authority intends to hold a competition open to young Danish fashion designers in order to create a full collection for all the members of the EXPO staff present in Shanghai – pavilion guides, restaurant and administrative personnel.

The competition will be announced in the Danish media, while the official launch will take place during the Copenhagen Fashion Week in February 2009. The prize includes assistance from the Danish Enterprise and Construction Authority regarding production in China.
