Denmark joins EXPO Shanghai Online
EXPO 2010 Shanghai can be experienced from your own computer as the entire EXPO site and all the buildings will be available on a 3D platform on the internet. Denmark has officially agreed to connect the Danish pavilion to the ambitious project, which is named EXPO Shanghai Online.
For the first time in EXPO history, the world exhibition can be experienced not only by the visitors physically present at the site. With EXPO Shanghai Online, billions of net users around the world can achieve virtual presence and explore World EXPO by 3D technology over the internet.
EXPO Shanghai Online is a brand-new platform for promotion and communication, providing new dimensions of openness, accessibility and worldwide participation to EXPO. It features a combination of virtual presentation and reality, thus creating an internet platform enabling alternative experience and real time interaction, in addition to other supportive functions.
As an integral part of EXPO 2010 Shanghai China, EXPO Shanghai Online serves as introductory channel, supplement and extension to the physical EXPO Shanghai.
Denmark has made an agreement with the Chinese organisers to deliver 3D material to the overall EXPO Online platform.
