Danish Diet and Nutrition Association

 

During a 3 year period from 2007 till 2010 the Danish Diet and Nutrition Association will focus on the project “the Pleasant Everyday Meal”.
 
The Pleasant Everyday Meal is characterized by the relation between the individual who is eating the meals and the professional who prepares and serves the everyday meal.
 
The Danish Diet & Nutrition Association has been invited to manage the restaurant in the Danish pavilion. At the restaurant we will serve the Pleasant Everyday Meal.

The Danish Diet & Nutrition Association is a professional organisation and a trade union for healthcare cooks, administrative dietitians (food service managers) and clinical dietitians. Students and trainees in the above professions are also welcome.

The objectives of the Danish Diet & Nutrition Association are to ensure that the members thrive in the workplace, deriving professional and personal job satisfaction from their duties as well as active participation in discussions about and development of nutrition policies and food quality. Maximum influence is the key word. Achievement of the objectives is sought through regional, national, and international collaboration with other professionals and politicians.

The Danish Diet & Nutrition Association convenes theme days and conferences on a regular basis to inspire the members in the art of good cooking that adequately responds to consumer demand.
 
The Danish Diet & Nutrition Association works tirelessly on behalf of the members to secure satisfactory wage levels and favourable working conditions, promoting workplaces that guarantee members the greatest possible impact on day-to-day routines, and a first class working environment where professional pride is sharply focused and human resources development a matter of course.
