A playground on top of the world
World-leading playground manufacturer, KOMPAN Playgrounds, will design a special haven for children on top of the Danish pavilion at EXPO 2010 Shanghai. The playground will be part of a picnic area where city bikers and pedestrians can have an EXPO break.
The Danish Enterprise and Construction Authority has made an agreement with KOMPAN Playgrounds to design a playground for the Danish pavilion in Shanghai.
As a visitor, you will get not only a visual impression of Danish urban life but also an actual chance to feel it yourself. The main idea is that experience promotes understanding, and visitors willnow get to experience how Danish families, both young and old, relax in the parks of a city; to Danes, a playground is in integral part of city life.
According to Andreas V. I. Paaske, Regional Manager for KOMPAN in Asia Pacific, the pavilion playground will be designed to match the overall pavilion design.
“We are still working on designing the perfect EXPO playground and we will work closely with the EXPO team to create an ideal solution for the Danish Pavilion. We know that the Danish pavilion will show the best of Denmark and we are very proud to be a part of such unique project promoting Denmark in Shanghai, as China is a major Asian market for KOMPAN”, he says.
